May is the month when everything around us awakens to life, everything blooms and smells. May is known as the month of love, but according to superstition... 

In no other month do we observe so many wedding celebrations as in May. On the one hand, you certainly know the saying "May, the time of love" and on the other hand, you have certainly heard that a wedding in May brings bad luck. May weddings are historically associated with all sorts of superstitions based on the experiences of ancestors, but despite this, more and more future newlyweds are enjoying them.

"It was late evening, the first of May, the evening of May - it was the time of love."

This is exactly how we should perceive May, the month of love, the month of lovers, which brings kisses under the cherry blossoms, warm sunshine and walks hand in hand with your significant other. The public enjoys the time of lovers with great pomp every year. However, mention the planned wedding and you will see, at least in some people, a troubled expression, complete with talk of bad luck that will accompany you.

However, the superstitions from the past, when women got pregnant after marriage and subsequently lost their offspring at the beginning of pregnancy due to hard work in the fields, or the offspring were born during the worst winter and lack of food, have long since ceased to apply, which posed an additional risk. Today, however, we have high-quality healthcare and enough machines in the field, so there is no need to keep the old superstitions alive.

A few advantages right away

A wedding in May also has several advantages. Most of the caterers, photographers, wedding dress rentals and venues for wedding ceremonies and after parties are still unoccupied during this period, so you have free reign and can enjoy your wedding to your heart's content. In addition, the weather is ideal for beautiful sunny photos, but without breathless and sweaty newlyweds.

Another interesting event is associated with May, and that is the first Holy Communion, when children in parishes go through a ceremony with their parents and godparents at Sunday mass, after which the child is introduced to the Christian life.
